ALTERNATIVE ASSETS

What are alternative assets?

Alternative assets are assets outside the most traditional categories of cash, bonds and publicly traded stocks.

Examples of alternative assets

Alternative assets can include collectibles, trading cards, sealed LEGO sets, sneakers, digital assets and other categories that may hold value but are often tracked outside traditional investment tools.

Why alternative assets are hard to track

Alternative assets often live across marketplaces, spreadsheets, collection apps and manual notes. Pricing can be less standardized than public market prices, and many users do not have a simple way to see these assets beside stocks or crypto.

Why track alternative assets with a portfolio?

If an asset has meaningful value to the owner, it can be useful to track it as part of a broader portfolio picture. This does not mean every collectible is an investment. It means the user can understand total value, exposure and allocation more clearly.

Portfolje and alternative assets

Portfolje is being built to combine traditional financial assets and selected collectible categories in one portfolio overview. Crypto, stocks, LEGO sets and Pokémon cards are part of the initial product direction, with more categories possible over time.
